Why is the news media so determined to rebrand suicide, and specifically physician-assisted suicide, as compassionate? Take the tragic events that unfolded in Joshua Tree National Park last week. Congress is finally making headway on issues concerning to the constitutional right to life. Last week, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives passed legislation that would prohibit late-term abortions. The legislation, called the “Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act,” outlaws abortions after 20 weeks.
