Update from the RNC in Cleveland

Here is my report from Cleveland, where I am a delegate to the convention that will nominate our great Governor to run for Vice President of the United States of America;

So here is some very preliminary math.....there are less than 2,500 delegates to the GOP convention. Delegates are the decision-makers, of sorts (ratify Presidential candidate, concur with VP selection, adopt platform, etc.) There will be 7,000 security folks, 15,000 journalists and 30,000 protestors. Security costs $50 million, or $20,000 per delegate, or $5,000/day/delegate. There are 50,000 folks here for convention + protestors. So maybe 80,000 citizens total. So each delegate has 32 individuals and $5000 per day in related activities. Or you could say all the numbers apply to one person -- the nominee.
