    Recently Judge Carlton W. Reeves of the Northern District of Mississippi issued a preliminary injunction against House Bill 1523, Mississippi’s newly passed religious liberty law.  HB 1523 was the latest effort to provide explicit protection of religious liberty and moral conscience for those individuals who are opposed to same-sex marriage. At no point does the legislation limit the right of any person to participate in a same-sex marriage.  On the contrary, the law limits government coercion.  ...

Here is my report from Cleveland, where I am a delegate to the convention that will nominate our great Governor to run for Vice President of the United States of America; So here is some very preliminary math.....there are less than 2,500 delegates to the GOP convention. Delegates are the decision-makers, of sorts (ratify Presidential candidate, concur with VP selection, adopt platform, etc.) There will be 7,000 security folks, 15,000 journalists and 30,000 protestors. Security costs $50 million, or $20,000 per delegate, or $5,000/day/delegate...

I would like to congratulate former IFI board member, Mike Pence, on his Republican Vice Presidential selection. Of the many articles that have been written on the most recent act of war committed by Islamic Terrorists against American civilians, the editors of National Review have published the best analysis I have come across so far.  Along with millions of other Hoosiers, I was heartbroken and angered by the attack against my fellow citizens, my American brothers and sisters, in Orlando over the weekend.   For those looking to truly honor the victims of this terrorist attack it seems the best option is to understand the nature of this enemy...
